Our drawing of a kitchen that just sold, its cabinets ready for paint

For painters

Every kitchen that sells near you is one color away.

A wall color change does not show on a postcard, so a painter's card shows what paint does best: the same kitchen, its cabinets in your color. Interior painting is named on every card too.

From 100 dollars a week for 20 cards. Everything included. Cancel any time.

01 · We read the house

We read the room the way you would.

When a house near you sells, we read its listing facts room by room for the signs your trade replaces.

4 of 4 signs. Then we score the house for your kind of work, and it is reserved to you only if it clears your floor.

Cabinet painting sits with refacing and new cabinets, so a kitchen reserved to you is closed to every other cabinet painter and cabinet shop.

One firm per house and kind of work. Once your card is mailed, that house can never go to another firm in your trade.

03 · Finished in your style

The same cabinets, finished your way.

Pick a style. The walls, windows and layout stay put. Only your work changes.

04 · Your card

Your logo. Your number. Their room.

Set in real type from what you approve, so a phone number never comes out wrong.

04 · Your card

6 by 9 inches. First-Class.

The back says what you do and carries a plain note that both pictures are illustrations.

05 · Into the mail

Then it goes in the mail.

First-Class, to the house that sold, expected in 2 to 7 business days. We say expected, never "delivered": no mailbox has a scanner, so nobody can honestly tell you the moment a card lands.

Day 5 to 10 · Your phone

And your phone rings.

  1. It rings your own number.

One local tracking number, issued when your campaign goes live and printed on every card. It rings the phone you already carry.

  2. You know before you say hello.

Pick up and you hear "Brightwall Painting, this is a call from your postcard campaign." Then the caller is put through.

  3. Every call is logged.

Number, time and length land on your dashboard, matched to the house that got your card when we can.

Recording stays off unless you switch it on, and callers are told first.

The color studio

Pick a chip. Their cabinets take it.

A wall color barely shows on a postcard, so a painter's card shows what paint does best: the same kitchen, its cabinets in your color. Pick one and roll it on.

The numbers

One cabinet painting job pays for 18 weeks of cards.

Every number here is borrowed from a published source and labelled with it. None of them is a promise, and we never quote a call rate, because nobody has measured one for this product yet.

Borrowed: a typical cabinet painting job and a planning margin from published cabinet painting cost guides. Derived: our arithmetic. We have not measured how many cards turn into a job, so this is only the point where one job covers the cards.

Year one in a new house

Buyers of existing homes spend about 2.8 times what owners who stayed spend on painting.

New owners408 dollars
Owners who stayed147 dollars

Borrowed: NAHB special study, Spending Patterns of Home Buyers, 2022, from federal Consumer Expenditure Survey data, 2017 to 2020.

Winter is slow for painters: painting contractor employment bottoms out in January. Cabinets are indoor work, so a cabinet card keeps working when the exterior jobs stop.

Exclusive · Painters

Reserved, for good.

One house. One kind of work. One firm.

Cabinet painting sits with refacing and new cabinets, so a kitchen reserved to you is closed to every other cabinet painter and cabinet shop.

Never sold to

  • Another cabinet painter
  • A cabinet refacer
  • A cabinet maker

May still mail it

  • A full kitchen remodeler
  • A countertop shop

They sell a different kind of work, so we say so up front.

Enforced by our database, not by a promise in an email: one live holder per house and kind of work, and a house whose card has been mailed is never released to anyone else.

Questions painters ask

Straight answers.

A person reads every message. If yours is not here, ask it on the sample card form below.

01Postcards cost 2 or 3 dollars. Why more?

A printed postcard sent to a list costs less. This is one house that just sold, whose own kitchen needs your work, drawn and finished in your color and reserved to you for good. The smallest plan is 100 dollars a week, and by the borrowed numbers further down this page, one typical cabinet job pays for about 18 weeks of it.

02Thermofoil or laminate cabinets?

Skipped. Thermofoil and melamine do not take paint well, so you only get kitchens with paintable doors.

03Will a refacer get the same kitchen?

Never. Cabinet painting, refacing and new cabinets are one kind of work here.

04Does the card promise new counters?

No. The counters, the backsplash and the appliances stay exactly as they are. Only the cabinets change, the way your job does.

05I paint walls too. Can the card show a living room?

Not today. A wall color barely shows on a postcard, so your card shows cabinets and names your interior painting in print.

06I work solo. Can I start small?

Yes. 20 cards a week is the smallest plan, 100 dollars a week, paid 2 weeks at a time. Cancel any time and it stops at the end of the weeks you paid for.

07Do I get the buyer's name and phone number?

No. We never sell lists or contact details. The card goes to the new owners at the house, addressed to Current Resident, with your name and number on it, so the call they make is to you.

08Is the before picture one of their listing photos?

No. Nothing printed is a listing photograph. The before is an illustration of their kitchen that we generate from the facts of the listing, and the card says in print that both pictures are illustrations.
